The humans decided to do a mini photo-shoot with me on our walk today. I’m surprised they haven’t done this a million times over as I am really, really, ridiculously good looking. *HUFF*

Mom got a sewing machine for her birthday on Monday. As her first sewing project she decided to make me this pawesome fleece blanket. It’s red (like me!) with paper lanterns and flowers on one side and red with white dots on the other side. Quite fitting for a Shiba princess. In fact, it’s so pawesome I commenced the Shiba 500 in celebration when Mom gave it to me.

Aunt Ki came to visit and I had to show her my sweet Shiba Laser Vision. She is super jealous.

Me and my friend Libby the Pitbull playing at puppy social. We, along with Libby’s sister Moki, are the life of the party every time. The other puppies don’t know what to do with us.

Water break! (Me & Libby)

Me and Moki ganging up on Libby! That’s what older siblings and their friends do, right?
I am going to have a play date with Libby this weekend and I am so excited! We’re gonna have tons of fun!
Mom & Dad gave me a bath earlier today and I didn’t scream at all. They think it’s because they were feeding me bits of hot dog (YUM!), but really it was all Shiba mind control. I convinced them to feed me hot dog by not screaming.
Last night at puppy social I made a new friend! Her name is Moki and she’s an American Pit bull Terrier! She’s a bit bigger than me (small for an APBT) but we have SO MUCH FUN! I was told that she’s cautious around new dogs, but we got along great from the very beginning! I love using my patented “body block” method on her. It turns out that my other friend, Libby, who is also an APBT is her sister from another litter! They are both super fun to play with.
I am not so fond of playing with the German Shepherds at puppy social. They keep trying to herd me like I’m livestock, but I’m a SHIBA PRINCESS! I should be treated with respect! I had to huff at them several times before they started to get the idea.
Mom hasn’t taken any pictures of me playing with my new friends, but she will… OR ELSE!
Tonight at puppy kindergarten a woman came to visit the class solely to see me. She had a Shiba that recently passed over the rainbow bridge and needed a Shiba Fix. I was more than happy to oblige. She told my humans how beautiful and calm I am, plus she gave me treats. I’m totally cool with treats.
In other news, Dad says I’ve become a backseat driver since getting my learners permit. A big Shiba Huff to that! He doesn’t seem to mind too much in this picture!

Further proving Shiba awesomeness, a Shiba is featured on the front page of Petco’s website! Mom insisted I allow her to post this… and honestly, how could I not approve?

The humans took Moose and me on a nice long walk through Bidwell Park (3rd largest municipal park in the US) on Saturday. We were both exhausted afterwards, as evidenced by this picture. Moose was tired from the walk itself, I on the other hand, was tired from being asked if I am the following: basenji (x4), miniature Malamute (x1), Siberian Husky (x2), Akita (x1 - but I get it), Wolf (x2), and what walk would be complete without a million people telling me I look like a fox. Many people asked how old I was and were surprised to find out that I’m only 17 weeks, they thought I was an adult because I am so well behaved. That’s all a part of the Shiba Mind Control though, silly humans.
